after I downloaded all the themes and plugins - I can use it for life right?
What is it about the 1 yr - does that mean after 1 yr I wont get any updates with plugins and themes?

yes you can download it and you it for life time .

if you want updated versions after one year you can renew and if not then also you can use the plugins you already downloaded.

Hi you are getting download link to the plugin not the login.

i have membership with them which allows me to resell or even give away the plugins as it comes under GPL.

so you will be able to download the plugins and use it on unlimited sites. i update plugins every month so you can get latest versions if there are any updates.
