When you hover on a link for example the "Real Techniques Multi Task Brush" link you see this link:


but if you right click on it and copy it you get this:


I know I can cloak links with redirect plugins like Pretty links or Thistylinks but there are sometime where that type of links are just suspicious and perhaps this way I could improve my CTR (Click Through Rate).

I found some code examples but they are not working anymore.

What do you think about this method? Does anyone know how to implement it?

I don't see how pretty links is suspicious if you are using it straightforwardly. As far as trying to make a link you click on go to something different than what the displayed text says by iframe or other, that does look suspicious and a lot of ad-block and other browser software will block and possibly report it.
Then you will harm your ctr and perhaps your sites rep..

Better to just use straight linking with alt text and use a funnel page of some kind for redirect.
