Thanks for the info, max reps+++ Interesting story. I have always disliked Robert K., though I have to admit he is very clever at selling snake oil to people in distress.

It was an interesting read for me. He goes into the science of entrepreneurship, explains his story and explains his FBA (fulfillment by Amazon) method, research hot product with low price point selling on Amazon, find a supplier (Alibaba) where you can buy the product for cheap, rebrand it, send the stock to Amazon so they can handle purchasing, market your product rinse and repeat.
Nothing earth shattering, the read was good and very informative. Not your typical Here are the steps ebook, you could tell it was written by a writer with experience because of the dialog, he explains the mentality of different quadrants of people and the reason for them being in a specific quadrant. He didn't go into detail steps of the FBA method said it was a topic for another book (cliff hanger) but if you've been in IM the last two years you would have come across many different flavors of FBA methods.
They all work, some faster than others, it's being able to automate the method and scale up is where most people face the hurdles, sure you could do the research, select a product, research buyer keywords, find a supplier, purchase inventory, rebrand inventory, market product but from beginning to end requires critical thinking and human intervention.
I suppose you could automate or employ people to do research, rebranding etc But at what cost? How to maintain cash flow and pay employee's virtual assistants etc. without significantly cutting into your bottom line? Any competent BH member could setup a store, but the money is in launching STORES, maybe 10-20 at a time involving all the steps I spoke about above, that would yield the type of money most people are looking to earn from methods like these. It would take time to manually build up a fleet of successful stores and products, it can be done. It's a good method, would take some initial investment but the long term gain would be worth it.
Some people might say but you CANT sell knock-off items, that's bullshit. Tell me who is the official manufacturer of a let's say USB adapter for your cigarette lighter in your car? Or how about a Mug? Or a digital scale? Pocket scale? These types of items can be purchased in bulk for cheap and marked up rebranded and sold.

Hey JOEMLM-
Thanks for the share, and for taking the time to give your extra thoughts about the book, the "salacious details" behind the "ban," and your ideas in general-
I also agree with what you and other are saying, both about the positive points of the book, and the negative- Everybody is spot on-
The book certainly can be inspirationally inspiring, especially for someone who hasn't come across RK's books before- And yes, there is definitely the obligatory rehashing going on here too-
The stuff by Kettner, yes, as basic as it comes- It is at best an outline, but in terms of implementation based on his info, laughable-
BUT, for those who do want to puruse this business model (which I am at the moment)- and a way to fill in actual detailed knowledge gaps and get the show on the road- I would recommend going to the GB section and grabbing the $5000 ASM course, as well as the PAC courses- They will cover everything you need for the Private label stuff, and PAC covers many other ways to make money on Amazon, including their specialty BA- Barter Arbitrage-
If you want to go the Shopify route (which everybody really should do in addition to Amazon just in case your Amazon account gets shut down and put on hold for some reason)- Then grab the EComm Premier Academy GB, and Matt Schmidt's Million Dollar Shopify Store GB-
Ok thanks again!

thank you for the well written review, either you are a writer already, or you should be one. just a quick note, no need for joining the overpriced asm gb, since you cannot share the ticket to the live event included in the $5,000 price tag. every year, someone shares the asm course anyway, others share their new training materials and webinars, very little groundbreaking info is introduced each year, so lasts years material will do you fine, check an asm blog for any updates.
also, before joining any gb, please check to see if it has been shared first, or wait a few days after launch to see if someone does share it and NEVER join a group break offered by a noob, or leech! you are just asking for trouble if you do.

Thanks for this share, will read it this week.
I have seen RK live and both he and his wife Kim are impressive, he has inspired a lot of people with his books, when they were starting out it was pre internet days and being on Oprah boosted their sales.
Anyway I don't think he is a scammer as he has inspired so many people - I know of 2 people close to me (one is a relative) that changed their lives from reading his book. They both now are retired in their early 40s (they have been retired for some time now), live off their property investment cashflow, travel the world, send their kids to the best schools, invest in more properties and business and they both credit RK's books for changing their thinking that there must be more to life than the rat race and they got out.
