Because let me tell you something my friend, GOOGLE HANGOUT IS THE MOST POWERFUL SEO STUFF that anyone can use in few minutes.
By streaming videos (using third party software)
By simply sharing slides/ screen
Or using your talking head
Obviously if you use it in the most competitive niche keyword, it wont work fast.
My last hangout was 3 days ago, and im holding first position for a local client, and the website went from 3rd page to 1st.
Precise keyword, not a generic one, if you do local seo, you get what i mean.
Here how i do
My product Is a middle density competition one (sometimes high, very high)
go to keywords planner, get like 10 similar keywords.
I create a hangouts and post 1 keyword in the hangout tittle.
Add 2 or 3 in a text description.
Do another hangout and so on.
With 10 hangout, you are assured to be at least in the 10 number positions in you-tube few times, and in my case as i use that for clients (companies) i usually take the 10 first position in you tube and few in google search.
Now, i didn't try the live event the guy is talking about, but sure will do.
NOTES:
IF YOU GUYS SHARE USEFUL CONTENT IN YOUR HANGOUTS, YOU WILL FAST BECOME AN AUTHORITY,
noticed that even a shiiiitty hangout with one image and a link to one website in the description, send a strong juice to the website and the ranking goes up fast, now, do that 2 or 3 times a week (obviously about your business) and see how you crush everybody else.
Example, while all the people out there are just uploading videos lets say on how to build a website with wp, try to do 3 to 5 hangout and you'll see, you'll pass all the famous ones easy.
Mix that with seo on site, social signals (white hat) etc etc.

There is a product here called
Youtube silo something, the guy was explaining how to get a juce power from several videos and build a playlist that transfer all the traffc t the main video to rank like never seen before (didnt try, but seemed logic as silo for website and web 2 pbn is powerful).
I suggest that you guys find that course, hangouts the videos, they'll be already very powerfull, and use the silo technic to explode it at max.
Now if like me you are a fan of alex becker, if you do local seo, there are golden tips shared by his partners time to time, 2 weeks ago i had a big aha moment when a guy showed that with picassa he added a geo tag to a picture, after renaming it as keyword and boom, first page.
Somewhere i read that evn google public drive helps in seo, cant remember how exactly.
now you may have noticed that all i'm talking about s google stuff, yeah plenty of free app to use.
G+ PAGE should be more active than your stupid facebook, why, because it's google, deuhh!
G+ communities is a weapon for authority and seo too.
GMAP, no need to say that it kills it for seo.
PICASSA pictures geo tags.
To resume, you wanna be in google, use google apps and forget the others, at least at the start, results are powerful guys.

Yes, you can
after the hangouts, few seconds the video will be like any youtube video, do not forget to get tags and complete all the information.
you can even cut, add sound, mix 2 video etc etc with youtube editor.
Now, about pbn stuff, do a silo youtube playlist = the main video will be like HULK STRONG IN JUICE.
from that video do a link to web 2.0 pages, preferably google blog first, now with all what alex becker is saying (see his maps/ pictures on where to send the traffic), do not see any reason why you shouldn't crash it fast.
For affiliates and other stuff, just do many hangouts, use slides (because you need 10mb speed or more to get the videos clear):
start a hangouts, start the screen share, open your slide, talk few minutes.
Offer value, just enjoy, have fun and do not spam, be natural, say whatever pass your mind.
ps: the slide can be just 3 pages with 1 line each, just to keep you on track and not go talking football and weather lol.
ah forget to say, i love slide because if after you throw them on slideshare . net, you got a nice juice too.

The country im in the keyword in google planner shows 27usd a click, my results, im holding 4 of the 10 youtube position and with hangouts i bumped a freshly new website to 8th position first page of researches
Competition hard on this one, so im doing a lot of on page seo too, results will be amazing , have no doubt about that.

I took 20 of the similar keywords from google keyword planner, exactly starting for low researches, like 500 a month, for the hardest ones, i changed them a bit (as google understand synonyms now) and started doing hangouts, doing on page seo, following becker and friends advises and the fresh domain name is up few position, as i sad a fresh 10 days old domain, so im working on web 2 and social media account.
I do not think that ill rank fast, as for google a new domain is a new domain, but im confident that ill turn the website (built with funnels from ryan deiss courses and strategs) will become like the ebook / video reference.
plenty of other details like responsive design, site speed, above the folder, compressing the java etc etc.
A good course is the bullet proof seo, alex becker course etc.
All of this is done for free, i mean google tools and on page seo,.
Of course, like i said, number one if it doesnt brng money, who cares
so conversion is the second step, as i consult sometimes for that, so i build funnels, and landing pages, and hopefully ill do that for fb ads too.

Thank you for this information because I have a client that is a video production company so he provides me with all the video footage I need and he pays me a monthly retainer and even though we won't start on his seo until Dec.
But he's been in business since 1988 and I had an inside connection. So I host his websites and do all his marketing for him. He was paying an SEO company $1500 a month and they never produced the results for him I did in 1 month and he landed to big clients based on what I did for him for free.
A candidate for Congress and a marketing company who did the hard media marketing for the candidate.

Just one thing, why would you work one month for free to prove your results?
I understand that it's a kind of no risk bla bla bla thingy for the client, that you want to prove you are different, but usually, marketers ask a small fee to test.
If your December and up monthly fee is 1000 or 1500$/ month or what ever you agreed, you should have charged him 10% to 25% for the trial month.
Why? I think of few reasons:
1) 10 ask the trial for free, 2 end up paying, the others will make excuses even if they got results for free, remember businesses not all jump on paying right away, in my experience, many told me wait till that month or maybe in the future bla bla bla, So here you are wasting your time with 8 for nothing???
2) Businesses or generally people that pays the trial are more ready to go further, specially if they see the effort and some results (that's why marketers created the funnels right).
A business man who do not pay 10% for a trial of something that can double his business, is either ignorant of anything web related or either greedy and want learn to do himself, so free, is encouraging them lol
3) You will look cheap to them, worse some will think it's so easy to do that they wont go on with you.
Now i do not know your target market exactly, but i guess high paying clients, in anyway, you may have few leads and that's ok, but again if you start getting a lot of them, you;ll be working months for free.
I personally never move a finger anymore if do not see at least 50$ in advance, even if the job is a 5000$ one, why? because im tired sick of free services seekers.
Got hundreds who asked to try for free and i always answered by saying, well at least pay by the hour, even the hourly pay of the lowest of your workers, if the boss answer no, i say goodbye straight away.

on facebook groups related to facebook marketing (or any related services providers marketing, many groups to name them), the debate of the trial happens often.
Many do charge a commission by results for the trial period, so in your case you landed a client for free!!!!! you should have asked a commission, as you say a big client.
so to all others, ok do for free, but ask at least a commission by contract, then charge monthly or go on by commission, depends on the type of business and the trust you guys have with your clients.
I guess the best is commission or 10% deposit for a trial.
Later a monthly fee.
Later outsource or hire serious workers near you.

No you got it wrong. I already was somewhat acquainted with the person. We both met up at a function and he remembered that I did web marketing and things of that nature.
And asked me to help him so he didn't have to go to another Expo in Florida and he said he would pay me just tell him the cost.
At the time I only had my own company as a case study and he was impressed with it but wanted to know what I could do for him. Since he is a brother to me I asked him for all his business contacts and for him to pay any cost I outsourced to VA's.
So now I have his company and his word that I'm the go to guy to all his customers. That is worth more to me than a single one time payment.
Plus I get my videos and radio personality voice overs done for anything promotion wise for my company.
As you can see it wasn't just a single let me prove it deal. There was a lot of back scratching for both of us.
He gets companies calling him from all over the country. I'm not going to take credit for all his work he got but we did track my efforts and it didn't cost him much money for VA's and he closed I think $5,000 on each one of them in a week or so.
He was paying an SEO company for a year or so and they never got him the results I did in a single month.
