Yes, ideally with Pinbot you can actually make group boards fast for yourself to get more viral activity on your own boards.

got 3 images in one of my pin board

The bot only repins them once then always said "scrape limit reached"

Depending on your settings you can only do a re-pin a certain number of times. You wouldn't want to repin images more than once per day I'd say.

I've never done any contests but you might be able to use a tool like Rafflecopter and make up your own Pinterest contest.
