I did nothing, i created the blog as per instruction on the course and went afk for 5 days, then checked the stats.

So it looks like you hit on a good niche that has traffic within Blogspot itself. I suppose that must be it. You might want to check on the stats within Blogspot, keywords etc and build on this with lost more posts.
