This really is the guide I was looking for two years ago. I'm pretty sure I killed my old cat from applying that kind of flea killer that you squeeze onto the top of their neck. Six months earlier she had the thyroid radiation treatment for hyperthyroid, and she was better, but still quite frail. It was a terrible flea season and they were devouring her. I could not find a natural treatment that worked. Her vet and all the "professionals" said the fleas were worse than the toxic flea killer. Finally I relented, but her kidneys could not handle the poison. I will read this guide and keep the toxic stuff away from our new cats. They got dosed enough at the shelter already.

Borax is some amazing stuff and I'm not surprised it's suggested
several times to kill fleas inside and outside.
