LOL>>> thanks OP but Landro is so full of it
Having worked for years with small biz this is one I would not touch....hard to get hold of decision makers, they work late (till parents pick up) so never can talk to anyone...usually a "group" or board decision...small day care are broke..larger ones are franchise or chain or corp owned...some are subsidized with state funds...so all in all a s****** choice to pick.
I would love to see Landro show me the money here - show me names of those he sold.well he can't cause I think he never sold anything other than courses on the internet
no offense to OP and thanks for share and reps tho I am not gonna grab it LOL
ps..I know what I am talking about - I have sold biz to biz for years everything from promotional packages, printing, mag and coupon mag ad, graphics, websites. I avoid daycare centers
IMHO you want biz with owners who can make a decision....who bring in good money...who don't "like" the internet, don't want to try to make a "blog", don't want to play on social media, and who see the value. IMHO air cond, plumb, pest control, commercial (not res) cleaners, flooring, remodel, and so forth are all good...and plenty others

Thanks .....hey I hope someone here is able to use this and prove me wrong...but I maintain that this "niche" is not overworked for a good reason - it is simply hard to work
I used to be a sales trainer and one thing I taught was "work smarter, not harder"
Yes, you can get sales from any niche...but fact is simply that some are going to take a lot longer and be a lot more work
IMHO you have 2 options - and it is good to combine the 2...
>>> go after higher paying prospects like lawyers, doctors, plastic surgeons, implant dentists, larger restaurants and clubs - for this you need to get in networking groups, attend events, have a good online presence and contacts and all your ducks in a row
>>> go after medium paying but easy to get clients - like the service biz guys, pizzerias, salons etc...where an owner can make a decision. You can visit them or cold call, set up a time to meet etc...you can walk away with a check in hand - no "let me talk to the board"
with day care...you are going after a very hard to reach often low paying market...so why why why?
JMO Luther found a cute wordpress theme and built this nonsense around it
Another thing - most day cares are limited in amount of kids they serve and most serve a given neighborhood or else parents who work nearby..so it is so limited. Not to mention hard to get hold of
The ONLY exception I can imagine is if you are a retired teacher with a lot of edu contacts?
Let us know if this works...hey I could be wrong....however I feel NO offline biz is "effortless">..that right there is a lie LOL>> and if you work smarter not harder you pick better niches than daycare
Thank you for the opinion and justification for it freebiequeen1991. I really appreciate the time that you took to write it. All of what you wrote makes perfect sense.
One thing that I found while I was looking at day care sites was that very few have even claimed their G+ listing. I was thinking that I may attempt to sell a $97 offer to claim there page and optimize it if they provide pictures and content.
Cheers!
