You need to allow for the time zone difference I believe it is like the middle of the night in his part of the world right now. The 5 minutes refers to the time from when he accesses your site to completing the process.

You need to login to the temporary admin account you created and deactivate the plugin, then login to your own account and delete the temporary account and then reactivate the plugin.

If I have a 2 -3 different MultiSite installs do I need to make multiple 2-3 separate purchases?

No, not at all.. One Multisite purchase is enough..Thats why its called a multisite setup ..isnt it ??
