You don't need any site for it, just Google :D
Yeah...no...thats basically the equivalent of saying that Black Hat SEO consists only of comment spam...when we know that is not true in the least.
Don't get me wrong, I love Black Hat SEO and I do use it on SOME of my personal websites. I mean, it's just fun to do and I have made tons of important discoveries that have helped me out through constant split testing and experimenting.
As for my day job however...well...I work for a major pet supplies brand/company as their eCommerce and marketing director. I also manage their entire SEO strategy...so I actually do white hat SEO for a living at my day job.
While Onsite SEO is crucial, it does not sum up white hat in its entirety. IMHO the three most important rules of SEO (outside of testing, experimenting, strategizing, or general prep work) are as follows. (again just my opinion)
Content - If you don't have high quality, original, and intriguing content then you are not giving traffic a reason to visit your website. Do you visit a lot of websites full of scrape and spun, or halfass, poorly rewritten, boring content? Of course not.
Marketing - this is very important (and not onsite) as it puts your site out there for new traffic to find. If you arnt ranking yet in the search engines this is your best chance of getting them in. With marketing, success depends a lot on your niche. I know there are plenty of tutorials around here that claim to make you some marketing genius or SEO guru if you follow their outline....but an overall marketing plan will vary from niche to niche. You wouldn't market a local pest control company in the same manner and through the same channels you would market your viral video website or a video game brand, would you? When was the last time you went on Facebook to search for a pest control company? When I say marketing I don't necessarily mean paid ads, it can be anything from a high dollar paid ad campaign to personally joining forums relevant to your niche and becoming an active member to network and tell people about your brand. I don't mean spam millions of forums with shit backlinks/mentions, I mean actually manually joining large forums, engaging with people and over time mention your product/site/etc.
Backlinks - Honestly, this kind of goes hand in hand with content and marketing. My newest personal website has over 30,000 backlinks, mostly from authority news websites and huge blogs. I have yet to create a single backlink for that site and I just launched it last February. I was able to do this through writing compelling, high quality content and marketing it with social media ads and adwords. Some of that content went viral and I was able to start acquiring those types of backlinks overnight. Just a fist full of those backlinks had more impact than building a large PBN network full of mediocre content (and a lot easier and faster). Reasoning behind that is those backlinks actually bring traffic to my website, real people and lots of them. When my first article went viral the traffic alone launched my website to page one of Google for a insanely competitive single keyword. I wont say that keyword, but its on the same level as ranking a site on page one for the keyword "History".
Now there is a lot more....a LOT more.. that goes into white hat SEO, but I don't have the time or energy to write a 300 page book on it. I think that should clear up some things hopefully. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I am always happy to help.
Best of Luck
