After seeing quite a few threads with Skype groups related to CPA; and a lot of people throwing their Skype IDs in those, I wonder have any of those actually yielded any success to those who has joined them?

Well i may be a beginner here but not a noob.No one helps you for free so don't fall prey to anyone.Joining such forums will provide idea about latest tricks and hacks so discover those tricks yourself instead of closing your eyes and following the person who posted any trick,crack etc
