We share your url to various social signal sites.
So in fact it they are backlinks. For example a tweet with your url or a facebook post with you url etc.

Don't know about the Social Signals, but their backlinks helped a lot. Mostly because of fast delivery.

However with Social Signals, you have to drip feed them or else it wont be as powerful. I've tried this many times.

Only when you slowly but gradually increase the number of backlinks and Signals, you can have good results.
