His strategy is flawed somewhat. I had 100+ ads put on hold without warning and only when I contacted Bing Ads did they tell me that my Display url page must match my Destination url. I was, and had been for a year, been putting my Display url as RELATED-KEYWORD(dot)com or {KEYWORD}(dot)com and the destination url as either a direct link (no popups/auto vids etc) or a landing page url different from the display url and having great success. (this guy is teaching this in his video)
In the words of the Bing Ads support team..."this is not allowed, your display url must MATCH your destination url"
I asked them why it had taken a year to pull my ads for this reason? They basically said Bing are in the process of reviewing ads where the display url is different to any destination url's and when found to be in breach, will stop ads abusing this directive.
I fear Bing Ads are going the same way as Adwords with their hatred for Internet marketers and direct linking.
My ads are now back up and running, but it took 10 days of getting them correcting them before Bing Ads would manually pass them. Needless to say, none of them are now direct linking, and all have display and destination url's matched (the home/landing page in the Display and home/landing page with /extension related to the product in the destination url...they told me this was how it should be done from now on)
I reckon I lost over £1k in those 10 days....so heed this warning if you advertise on Bing. You might get away with it, as I did for a year, but when they catch up with you...it stinks!
