Windows 10 is not free. Preview version is free, but the final version is free only to users who have allready bought windows 8, 8.1.
And windows 10 preview sucks, a lot of bugs they need to fix. Tested twice and it's freezing all the time, also Cortana is not working properly and the other things are just bugged, also that new browser is also fucked up.
Also drivers are not all compatible, so in my case i fans didn't worked properly. In 2 years win10 will be fine, but not now, specially on preview versions. You can test it, but if you have stable windows installed allready rather install windows 10 theme pack than win10.

I am using Windows 10 on three computers, one each desktop, laptop and tablet.
I have had it on the desktop and laptop since the preview became available.
The only problem I had was the graphic driver for my laptop was not available for the first few months.
Now all is well and I just updated to Build 10162.
