There is no pdf version available in the download. You get the ebook in three formats i.e.,

1) epub
2) mobi
3) kindle

So you are going to need an ebook reader. Or you could convert it to pdf using calibre.

I use adobe digital editions for epub, mobipocket reader for mobi and Sumatra too, is a nice handy tool. All these are free to download.
