What do you mean with less bounce rate or junk?
Hard bounces are invalid email addresses, so it doesn't depend on the mailing software.
Hitting the spam or inbox folder depends on a number of factors i.e message content, IP reputation, domain name reputation, DNS records (rdns, spf, dkim, domain keys), message headers...etc.
Mailing app is the last concern you'll have in the email marketing game :)

MailWizz and Sendy are fairly simple (but powerful) scripts that can run on most servers, even on localhost. You can find them here, but send me a PM if you can't find them and I'll help you out. ;)
