all i got from this is that the op doesn't know how to do anything but cpa. i actually don't see much truth being told here. maybe from the op's experience, but everyone is different with different unique qualities about them that will allow them to succeed in what they are best at whether that be seo, local business, cpa, etc... or a combination of different avenues. also, the more one gains in experience, the more well rounded one can be. i am a VERY firm believer that you should NEVER put all your eggs in one basket. if you do, try to diverse as quickly as possible.
for example. if one is good and successful at direct linking to cpa offers then think about building a squeeze page and a list for yourself to market to anytime you want since you already know how to drive traffic. when you are successful at that you can learn how to drive more traffic through video marketing which will help with your cpa offers and affiliate marketing offers or your list building effforts to your squeeze page.
to discount seo is a little naive but i agree. it's not for the faint of heart only because the rules are always changing and you have to stay on top of your previous efforts CONSTANTLY but it is a great thing to learn p/t and practice while primarily focusing on what you can do and succeed in NOW.
i also don't like when anyone discounts something just because it's rehashed only because newbies are searching every day for stuff. just because it's rehashed for one person doesn't mean it's rehashed for others. the people who usually complain about rehashed shit are those that spend downloading everything under the sun. they are so busy reading or viewing vids that they don't have any time to put anything in action.
i download my fair share of shit, but what i like to do is concentrate on one thing at a time. right now it's list building so i will download all i can on it whether rehashed or not just to find information not already shared elsewhere which mainly now includes free and paid traffic sources to build a list. learning how to build a list properly was a nice transition from what i already learned from affiliate marketing and cpa and video marketing and driving traffic etc.
my point to this post is that nobody should ever allow anyone else to tell them what they will be successful in doing. it will be different for everyone and individual knows themselves the best to figure that out. if you're good at talking to people, there is a shitload of money to be made with local businesses. if your good at talking to people but don't have a clue how to impliment online marketing strategies, you team up with someone who can do the other work. this works in reverse as well. where if you're good at online marketing including seo but can't convince someone to take a chance on ya, team up with someone who is good at talking to people. it's not rocket science and there is a shit load of money in offline businesses like i said. you know how many new startups there are in the u.s. alone every day? i SHIT load and they have a marketing budget. these are businesses that haven't been bombarded with marketing offers yet.
if your shy, video marketing isn't for you but if you look pretty in front of a camera and come off as sincere, you'll kill it as an affiliate marketer OR create your own youtube program and make a killing off adsense and brand marketing.
these things i am mentioning are all different ideas but it's up to the individul to know what he/she think they can excel at the best based on WHO THEY ARE.
now cpa? that's easy to make money. it's true. what don't like about it though is that to do it right, it takes time to find the right offer, find the right traffic source for that offer, and it's hard to scale an offer. since it's hard to scale an offer, you have to spend a lot more of your time doing the same thing with other offers. so although it's easy to impliment after the right training, the scalability sucks and the time commitments can bog someone down if they value their time.
anyway, i am rambling now....
