Great info - it would be also good to mention that all testing for exploits should be done on a localhost if possible, using something like ServerPress Desktop Server or XAMPP

I maintain a site that is just for testing so I upload all plugins and themes and test there.
If anything goes crazy I delete in c-panel and move forward...
