This link led to a download site that triggered dozens of phony security alert tabs to open up in my browser.
I had to force quit the browser to keep it from locking up my computer completely.

Fillmore, I see that you have been a member since August 2013, so you are not really a newbie, but by now, you should know that when you download a file from MirrorCreator.com, you are going to get a lot of pop-ups and see a lot of ads. You need to learn how to get through them if you want to download stuff.

I suggest that you configure your browser so it does not allow pop-ups. Every major browser has a setting that allows you to stop pop-ups.

Another tip - never download an .exe file or accept an pop-up screen offer to install an update to Flash or Java. It is certainly some form of Malware or Saleware.
