I haven't use the Appygen yet but its a downloadable software were you can create apps through your PC, where as, Seattlecloud pltatform is cloud-based. There's no difference between the two in general purpose ofcourse, both of it create unlimited apps. That's why It's hard to guess which is good specially if it is wrapped with eye-catching marketing. But I must say, BuildMeApps is far far away ahead from appygen in terms of functionality and features. Check my #1 post for its features. Thanks for stopping by :)

IMO,
AppyGen - is something that has some pre-defined templates specifically for building apps that are more centered around distribution and generating revenue from ads embedded, for ex. it has a game template where you can may be change the icons/colors, embed your ads and upload it on the Google Play Store, (not sure if it has an iOS version), get some downloads and generate revenue, based on the activity of the users that use your app
SC (BuildMeApps) - is a premier app building platform specifically centered around creating business apps, you can cater to various businesses and also there are possibilities of cross sells, and you have the ability to create the app in various platforms - android,iOS, for Amazon, and for iPad... The revenue generation here depends entirely on your marketing expertise, however there are 2 ways to go with this - you can create a generic app, like may be for restaurants and put up some deals for a couple of your local restaurants and you could direct that traffic to those restaurants and charge them for this service or you could build individual apps for each restaurant and charge a consultation fee for creation, and maintenance of the app for them
Either s/w's there is possibility of generating revenue, you just need to know your game on how you want to deal with them...
Hope that helps

hi guys,
i needed some clarification about this cloud based builder (BuildMeApps)
if i may ask with BuildMeApps, will i be able to
create a gaming, radio station app, puzzle apps etc.
i thought i saw something like this in it's feature,
i thought those 100+ templates were for different
kinds of apps that we can re skin/add more
functionality to.
i nneded more clarification on this
