That's part of the key to his success and sustainability for such a long time. He does not succumb to the "shiny object syndrome." He does what works and continues to repeat it year after year and part of that strategy includes partnering with others so they leverage his status and selling information products at a price point that is easily affordable for the serious enough business person.
I studied under Bob Bly and still receive his emails and invest in his products and know that he is consistently making a very good online income from his products.
Learning Point?
If there's a learning point I personally picked up from Bob Bly that I would like to share with fellow members here on BBHF it is this "
You choose whether you're going to be successful or not in any type of business or career you're in."
It doesn't matter whether you feel you're into internet marketing, following the 'offline marketing' craze, creating and/or selling infoproducts. You will determine your own destiny, period.
When I asked Bob Bly (via email) why he doesn't sell 'entry level $7 products his response was simple and made a lot of sense when you think about it. He replied by saying "
The $7 audience is not my market. I create and sell information products to people who are truly in business and who are not chasing after shiny objects. That's the make money online individual whom many of will sadly never succeed and I want no part in their failure."
Might sound arrogant to some but it's a stand he has taken.4
And if he has managed to stay around for over 20 years despite the massive changes to the internet, readily available free and paid ebooks, Kindle, self-publishing and slew of other types of digital programs and products, he is doing something right.
Based on having paid him for mentoring/coaching twice in the past, invested in a number of his products and followed his simple yet sage advice in launching my own 6-figure information creation and marketing businesses with the same approach across niches as diverse as self-help to offline marketing, he knows his stuff.
Success really is simple and I don't care what your background, the color of your skin, what age you are or what you've been through in the past (hey, I failed in business more times than I can imagine AND at some points I didn't have enough to provide for my Mrs but we pulled through), I don't care and it doesn't matter whether English is your first language or where you live. this thing called success is achievable when you just follow one path through to a result (and then change only if necessary).
That's what I personally discovered from my interaction with Bob and other people just like him.
