Many of the Amazon courses talk about FBA and sourcing products yourself. The one problem with doing this is you need to buy and have inventory on hand. I have successfully used a dropship model that avoids having to have inventory. The disadvantage with dropshipping is that you then have to compete with everyone else that is selling the same product. If there is no MAP for the product your price points begin to take a beating because everyone else continues to try and compete with Amazon by continuing to lower their prices.
The advantage of finding best selling products and then creating your own products for those niches is that you then don't have to worry about other people competing to sell the exact same product.
