Essentially all you have to do is copy / past the style.css file into a custom CSS box using SiteOrigin CSS or similiar with your Genesis child theme activated.

It's a relatively simple theme, so you would then just

Simply copying the style.css will not get you the same functionality as the theme would. Behind the scenes, the function.php file has essential code to make the theme function as designed. Without that file, it might look very similar but it won't be the same.

Could you please share the Showcase Pro theme?
I'm fully aware of what the function file does, BUT what functionality do you think is going to be an issue if you don't have that file in this case? I've reviewed the theme and page layout stuff is CSS plus the possibility of widgets on the home page IF you want to widgets the homepage. Anyone who has worked with Genesis should already know how to add widget locations in the function file anyway.
