Do not use this guys, it's a hogger I deactivated mine awhile back, simply either sign up for a cloudfare free account and set-up your website via them (very easy) or host your images on google drive which is free anyways and then simply link from media files to google drive.
Plugins are hoggers the less you have the best :)

This is true. But you must be smarter than the script you are running on your site. WP Rocket is a plugin that blows away the competitors such as W3TC who was the leading for many in wordpress plugin cache control. You can now use this plugin, and not worry about performance issues. +5 to the OP and here's another mirror:
