The purpose of giving deep discounts is to avoid bad reviews, and create a craving within new buyers for the product by good reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations by users who got the product for the discounted price.

But right now there are a lot of cr.p quality courses on Udemy. And more are added every day. Sometimes at ridiculous prices. There are no demos of what you will be building. And coughing up the money first to find out is just not an option.
Also, asking too often for a refund is going to give my account a bad reputation.

I'm not going to spend that on a recommendation by people who only paid $10 or $20 for the same.
