How does it affect people who don't live in EU region?

The only way I can see it affecting those outside EU is if you sell to those inside EU in that case its such a miniscule amount I just block all EU countries from accessing my sites. I don't sell to them anyway why start now?

So in short I don't see any reason why it would affect anyone who isn't doing business in and out of EU.

Just my take but that would be like Mexico imposing a tax on the USA or USA imposing a tax on England. Not gonna affect me.

As a retired U.S. attorney, I tend to agree with chikfilet. If you don't sell to the EU what JURISDICTION would they have to bother a U.S. seller? And then think of the practicality of the EU monitoring millions of transactions! It would have to be on the "h-o-n-or s-y-s-t-e-m" to work. Good luck with that one! This really is only going to affect EU sellers!

I am from EU area (Denmark) so will be checking this out closely.

I think it can be a big problem for many people throughout eu, but by simply using bank accounts abroad or something (personally i use thailand as my business base, inc paypal accounts) it should be a problem that can be handled..
