Hundreds of advertisers tuned into our webinar on the new unified marketplace for mobile search and native advertising. Check out the recording now.
Mobile search and native advertising are fast becoming integral components of marketers’ playbooks, as shown by these recent survey findings:
• 78% of brands believe that native advertising provides value to consumers*
• 73% of mobile searches trigger follow-up actions, such as more research, a phone call, a store visit or purchase**
That’s why there’s so much buzz about Yahoo Gemini, our new unified marketplace for mobile search and native advertising---and why hundreds of advertisers attended our webinar about it last Thursday. Also, Charles Kirkland has released a product on this topic as well. I believe there's a group buy.

Golly. I started playing with Yahoo Gemini just yesterday.
Put up an ad pointing to a presell page which points to an aweber squeeze page which points to an "offer wall"-style thankyou page.
Ad was under review when I went to bed. I slept 12 hours and when I woke up, ad had been approved and I'd already got 396,987 impressions, 112 clicks (a crappy 0.03% CTR) and 5 Aweber optins!
My average CPC is 5 cents. Total spend $4.55 (of THEIR money, since they gave me fifty bucks monopoly money to play with!)
I didn't get ANY clicks to my CPA offers from the offer-wall-thankyou page because I have not yet even ADDED any actual CPA offers to the offerwall - because I never expected such dramatic results so fast from Yahoo Gemini.
I also have no followup messages loaded into that Aweber list yet. But that's fine.
Today I will fill that offerwall with CPA offers (many of them from multiple CPA networks, using rotators) and then get that Aweber list filled with followup messages.
This is quite amazing to me. What happens when I optimize the ad CTR??? How many optins will I get?
Well, let's see. At 0.02% CTR I got 112 clicks, 29 clicks from the presell page to the squeeze page (25% presell CTR), and 5 optins (17% optin rate) at $0.91 per optin. Cost per optin would drop to $0.14
If my CTR had been 0.20% I would have got 793 clicks and (assuming same presell page CTR and same optin rate) 198 clicks to the squeeze page and 33 optins. So ad CTR is very important.
I'll try different ads to try to boost my pathetic 0.03% CTR.
Yahoo Gemini. I'd never heard of it before yesterday. Seems to be pretty amazing.
