Have put this thread here so as many eyes see it as poss, as last week, had an issue on some WP PBN setups [all different hosts] and thought it was lots of buyers!

It was not, it was a hole in WP...

To be clear...

If your sites / networks / landers / pbn's are not on this version released today Nov 20th 2014... your money sites are open for crappy crap from all over the web etc etc..

FWIW, I received email yesterday that my WP site had been auto updated to 4.01

d*** WordPress - can't live with it; can't live without it - always the vulnerabilities ;)

I recall within the last year, on a couple of my sites, there was an auto-update thing going on. I assumed it was a new wordpress feature. But now, I don't see that anymore (cause it is asking me to do it when I login again).

I suspect there are settings in wp-config.php OR plugins that may allow auto-update. It "would be nice" if anyone that knows either of those methods (if they exist) to put two cents in. (two F****** cents :angry:jk)
