Don't waste your money

This is a total bullshit course. Don’t waste your money. It was obviously slapped together by some guy who thought he could make a quick buck off of some suckers on Udemy. Here are a few of the things that are wrong with it:

1. At no time does the author show you *his* income from freelance writing. He shows no accounts, no clients, and no income statements. He’s just making this up.

2. Two different people narrate it. He’s obviously hired out part of the course to someone else.

3. Lecture 3 starts with “So you’re reading this book…..”. Since this is a video course, it’s obvious that someone is just reading a book about writing. And, the author didn’t even bother to review the lectures, which tells us that the quality is pure crap.

4. Lecture 4 and lecture 15 are exactly the same.

5. Lecture 19 starts off with him saying: “Welcome back to lecture 3”. No quality check here.

6. The visuals suuck: most of the lectures have one slide only: a collage of photos of people typing on their laptop computers. There are no points that you can read and take notes from. It’s just a voice reading from a book about writing.

7. The written material was obviously created by someone for whom English was NOT their first language. The sentence structure and grammar are atrocious, and the points don’t make sense or relate to the lectures.

8. Worst of all, in lectures like “How to Find Golden Clients”, he just reads the web pages of Elance.com to you. He has no tips or tricks that he’s learned; he’s reading web pages and that’s all. In short: this course is crap. It’s a total waste of money and time. If you want to learn how to make money freelance writing, sign up for Elance.com and Odesk.com and read their explanatory pages on how to get clients. You’ll learn more in a shorter amount of time, and you won’t have to listen to this guy’s droning nasal voice.
