Hmmm... I just did a search for "amazon treasure hunters" in quotes and found 2 old posts from 2013...
Johnny Shadow's post 6-25-13 did not mention product in heading - I almost missed it. Like OP said, if other posts are that old and buried, what's wrong with a repost. I can understand not reposting when other "fresh" posts are out there (within last 6 month - 1 year), but if a the latest post in a search is over 1.5 years old... start a new post.
