The licence check back is server based, which in turn allocates the site activation per purchase, so any fix may have to replicate the said method locally or on a "mirror" licence server.
Have the code if anyone wants to PM to fix it :-)

This script has that many bugs that I wouldn't risk to set it up......
I'm not sure if someone ever tested it.
