Hmmm..I was experimenting with Google Hangouts a few months ago and didn't find that it gave me much of an edge over a regular YouTube video. It may jump into Google faster though, but I only found that was the case when I used extremely non competitive keywords, like the ones you'd use for a local businesses like "Jim Deffel's Cafe".
