Thanks for the tip ZenMind, I don't have much problem with spam comments. But, a couple of my sites do from time to time, this should eliminate completely.

I was going to use GrowMap Anti Spam Bot but it states it can take out only 99% of spam. This looks like a better plug-in without having to pay a monthly fee. Appreciate the link.

simply turn off comenting function

I use the free wordpress plugin called "disable comments" on all my sites..works great

The only plugin that has completely prevented comment spam is WP Spam Shield.
