"Thank you for joining Pinterest Traffic Crusher!
I’ve structured this course to guide you step by step through the process of effectively using Pinterest to generate traffic. This course will teach you how to effectively use the Pinit tool to incorporate pinable images into your WordPress pages/posts and Facebook fan pages.
If you are already using Pinterest as a traffic source, hopefully this course will help you use it more efficiently and effectively.
After watching the course videos you will know:
What types of images get the most click-throughs.
Where to find images and how to edit them.
How to optimize your images for the search engines.
Where to find free hosting for your images.
How to implement the Pinit Tool on WordPress blogs and Facebook fan pages.
How to customize files you create with the pinit tool.
How to use online automation tools to save time and generate more traffic.
Pinterest can be an effective traffic source for practically all niches, however currently the most popular ones are:
Home Decor and Remodeling
Travel
Food
Crafts
Weight Loss and Fitness
Fashion
Health and Beauty
Gardening
Books, Music, Movies and TV
Photography
Weddings
If you aren’t in one of these niches, you can still do very well by simply incorporating pinnable images in your marketing campaigns.
One quick word of caution. Please don’t spam Pinterest. As is the case with most all social media sites, Pinterest members can easily detect spammers. Pitching products or services isn’t what social media is all about. It’s about interaction and sharing. The key is to always provide some free, useful benefit with every pin. When someone clicks on your pin, the source should be exactly what your image and description promised and it should be free.
Pinterest is loaded with “buyers”, so you just need to be smart about how you market to them. Exposing them to a squeeze page or other subtle calls to action once they arrive on your site is the recommended method of converting them into buyers. If you’re not familiar with how Pinterest works, signup and visit to see how others are using it to generate traffic.
Before you dive into the course, here are a few terms you need to know:
Pins – Name for images
Pinning – The act of adding pins
Pinner – A user who is pinning
Repin – Pinning something another pinner has already pinned
Pinnable Images – Images that are likely to generate “clicks”
Pin It Button – A button that can be added to your website that makes it easier to pin content to Pinterest
Like – Button users can click when they like a pin
Comment – Button users can click when they want to comment on a pin
Groups - A board that you—and others you invite—can all add Pins to
Boards – Categories on Pinterest used to organize pins (e.g. gardening, food and drink, etc.). Members can create and name their boards
Click-Through – The second click on an image that leads to an external site
Image Source – The site address (URL) that is linked to a pin. When an image (pin) is clicked, users are redirected to the image source
Image Description - The image’s description that’s included below an image
Okay, now that you understand how the course is structured, it’s time to dive in. Watch the videos, use the recommended resources and implement the tool. I sincerely hope you find this training profitable."
