Don't think you need to purchase the product you are promoting - as long as you don't pitch it as though you have. I have a few Amazon web sites, etc and I've not used everything on Amazon.
Had this same discussion awhile back with a guy and he said you are endorsing the product by promoting it - could be viewed that way. Could also be viewed as endorsing the concept or the Developer.
Just can't use the Developers pre done canned 'emails' that say this thing is the greatest if you never used it - that's what pisses people off when the product blows.
