Is it possible to rank google doc??
Try making a post on your G+ page and linking to the doc. Google usually checks out those links pretty fast.
1) Make the document as Public
2) Make some links from website
3) Send the link through Gmail to different gmail accounts
Please note : It cant rank for other keywords like a webpage in many cases. It can rank only for the header
No need to make back links and ask your mates to open this link for sometime. Its enough !! Try
