and do not delete the previous version of be theme. install the new version. On upload screen there would be an option if you are installing a theme already exist choose yes.

Also after installing demo data i cannot find anywhere to be able to select which demo theme/skin to select and nothing in the instructions about it???

Did you go to Appearance >> BeTheme Demo Data >> Homepages >> Select Page (the following pages are the sample homepages from which, i think, you refer as "skins")

If you're referring to skins (color) you can do it at the Theme Options panel...

@nicheman, pubglic is right. Go to Appearance->Betheme demo data->from import dropdown select home page->an other drop down list will appear with available home pages(in total 33 niche pages are available).
