Reps mean different things to different people.

It's supposed to be an acknowledgement of your effort by a reasonable person who benefits from you making a share available. People don't have to rep but it's a decent thing to do.

LEECHERS sledom or never rep because they're always out to get, get, get. They operate with a 'scarcity and entitlement' mindset. They take more than they give and are the scum of society, described by many folks here on BBHF and other BH forums as the lowest of the low life.

But that's not a problem because they never put the stuff they download to use, I guess because they're too stupid and too busy downloading all they can find.

Rep to you the OP?

Just something that earns you recognition I guess, and also boosts your ego if you're into that kind of thing.

I rep whenever I see a share I like, even if I don't download, and I attempt to rep every time I do download. I also add a comment as well so the rep isn't just 'random.'

I leave a comment with my reps because I want the sharer to know what I appreciated about their share, and also to encourage them to keep on keeping on as a responsible member of BBHF.

Should you ask for reps?

It's a personal choice. If you want to, who is anyone else to say you can't? The only time I personally frown on asking for reps is when someone gets known for almost BEGGING for reps.

Personally I don't ask and will never ask (unless it slips my mind and I'm high on life), because outside of these BH forums, a rep means f**k all.

You can't exchange it for money, it won't make you rich or wise, it won't improve your health, it can't save you from going to jail if you happen to get caught illegally using content or a tool ... and it most likely won't get you laid.

Just putting things in perspective here.

So, let's just share because we can. We never know whose life a share might change because they take action. Those who know what to do will do it.
