I have never had anything to do with hangouts before so on 1st reading the pdf found it a bit confusing. It got a bit clearer on watching the videos, though some of them are just him reading the pdf. The last video (video 8) suggests that there is more as he ends with the comment 'see you in the next video'. I did find his speech a bit slow for me, but using vlc i just put the playback speed up a bit and it seemed better.

Obviously, without trying this, I cannot say if it will work for me. I can see the potential in it helping your rankings. At a minimum, it is a relatively quick and easy way to get videos done and uploaded to youtube.

If you create a decent quality article and spin it properly and then have a video that has helpful information then I cannot see how this would harm your rankings. It appears to be a spin on things that is worth trying. If you cannot afford the recommended software it looks easy enough (if a little longer) to do it all manually. You can always buy the extras later once you start making some money from this method.

All in all another great share from quasar.
