Why so scared?
I've been in it a few months now (I know - a newcomer) but if you do your due diligence and don't get greedy or sloppy there isn't much bad news. It's the folks who leave their coins in hot online wallets that experience most of the problems.
And yes, crypto is a risk - but so is crossing the street.
So keep selling those picks and shovels, and hey, we miners get lonely - got any women laying around?
Scary because it is not too hard to imagine a time when traditional currency will crumble and crypto currency will be the norm. If you look at the US dollar (which has been the defacto world currency), you see it is in big decline and getting worse as the US debt increases.
So, I was thinking it is scary to imagine a world where we have to buy and sell in crypto - reminds me of Biblical prophecy. I like your suggestion about finding some women! I will see what I can come up with
