So just playing around with the tool, it seems that this complimentary version works, but it will create a pre-defined link along with your retargeting link. However, the end all link created does work, and I haven't tried, but perhaps using a link shortener might help make the ad link less ugly (i'm not sure if you can use shortened links in fb ads though, never tried or researched it). Otherwise, we'll have to deal with ugly links
