If you did not had any wrong intentions than why did you insert it. As far as deleting goes how many people actually knew that it contains a malicious code until someone spend time to check each file or gets notified by someone. If you want to delete it than go ahead I would prefer not to have a script instead of running a script with malicious code and get my site compromised.
