Don't know if this is possible, but I think it would make a significant usability improvement for a small change.
The suggestion is to move the posting date to the top line of the post. It is currently at the bottom, which often means a lot of scrolling before you find out if this is a recent post, or somebody just bumped an old thread.
In addition, the date displayed prominently at the top of the post might stop a lot of people who currently bump years-old threads complaining that the links are broken.
