Not true, just take a look at Matt Cutt's blog and read all of the comments from the White Haters claiming that their sites were wiped out of Google after the updates.

Definitely accurate. I've had completely white hat sites dumped by google. They never had any black hat tactics used on them and I've owned one of the domains for over a decade.
Once that happened, google went right on my shitlist. I'll flood their search engine with complete automated garbage for the rest of my life, especially with all their big brother bullshit. F*** em' I don't rely on google for a single thing, but I'll swipe their traffic just because I can.
