Ipage.com has very slow servers. Also check your plugins, some can slow down a site. look on the web for websites that can diagnose your website like pingdom here's the url

1. Delete your spam comments
2.Delete your post revisions (plugin: better delete revisions)
3.Clean up your plugins
4.Clean up your database (plugin: WP DBManager.)

godady would be much better.
Before you go and change hosting, try my suggestions first. Lots of good hosting out there so I have no personal preferences. But I have heard that Godaddy and hostgator are both good.
I highly recommend Hostgator for you for easy managing and installing your websites in the server.
Godaddy are no good in Hosting only for registering the domains.
Hostgator is the best in pricing and hosting support, bluehost is cheap and good as well
