A couple things with this kind of software.

1. Don't run on most shared hosts. They will limit the number of emails that you can send an hour/day so if you have a list of a couple thousand people, it will be useless. Go with something like hitdirector.com or get some sort of cheap VPS.

2. Make sure you are using a dedicated IP

3. Warm your reputation up. Start out with a small list of your responsive subscribers and mail to them only for the first week or so, until the different mail hosts trust you and then add the rest of your list.

Use a 3rd party service like mandril. There are MANY. Just search for "transactional smtp"

Mandrill is run by mailchimp, it's reliable and has the same deliverability as the top email providers as mailchimp, aweber, get response etc.

Use a 3rd party service like mandril. There are MANY. Just search for "transactional smtp"

Mandrill is run by mailchimp, it's reliable and has the same deliverability as the top email providers as mailchimp, aweber, get response etc.

The only problem with mandrill is that they limit you big time in the beginning. I think it's like 50 emails an hour or 200 a day or something? I don't remember the specifics, but I remember I didn't go with them because of the limitations.

Sendgrid is a GREAT OPTION.

That might be for their free account, but I'm not aware of any limitation in the paid accounts. They will also work with you on high volume needs.

Major price differences between them.

For 100,000 sends with mandrill it's 17 dollars. For send grid it's 80. that's on the low end, for higher sends it gets drastically more expensive.

They are both good service, one I would avoid is Amazons service unless you are outside of the marketing niches.
