I already saw this method. Make it , show it and then tell them they can have it as soon as they pay or you'll take it off and offer a site to their competitors.

Plus...the actually difficult part is for businesses to stay updated. They are changing stuff around all the time - they'll want the mobile sie to reflect that as well!

2 ways to do it:

Charge a monthly fee to keep the sites updated...maybe $19/mo for 3 updates.
Or tell them in a video format or detailed PDF how to do it themselves.

Or use Dudamobile which updates their mobile site whenever they change their website. I charge them a whole year of hosting plus basic tech support upfront for $197 (hosting costs around $86/yr.), that is separate from the mobile site creation fee.

Yep CopyMyCash - that's a viable strategy.

Joshua from SqueezeMobi usually does this around his 'hood. Just going in the businesses and showing off templates.

You go one step further: Build a site around their current Web-CI and simply show them how it looks. Awesome!

Verdict! It does work, but not as easily as he tells! I've been into Offline marketing from past 1 year,I've tried these methods for quite sometime :-)

Well my question to you would be this if you have been doing this for a year. Are you straight out of the box selling to these people or are you actually giving away something free as a funded proposal to get their business in other areas?

I believe that if you're selling out of the box you're wasting your time and theirs. But if you give them something they need free that has a value to get them in on up sells of other services then you would have better luck.
