OK, guys! DOES THIS NOT TELL YOU ANYTHING?! The noob OWNS it, and he can't pay his rent! come on! think, my friends! Just how profitable is this system sound now?
Here we are a bunch of pirates not willing to pay $5-$15 bucks on WSO's and sitting here considering buying into a multi-hundred dollar system that people have already pointed out it's a MLM scheme when you go higher up.
Just 2 weeks ago there was an amazing thread covering the ebay-amazon trade. It went to 60 pages! I tried it for the Valentine's market. It works. really. The bad news is you are not going to get rich and it's time consuming to set up. And you need money upfront to pay amazon, because paypal/ebay holds your money for a week or more.
Here's another pointer. I researched other arbitrators doing it. The seller's with over a thousand items, and I'm not kidding- ONE THOUSAND OR MORE, are lucky to get one thing sold a week. The average profit margin is less thn $10 because of competion. So really, it won't pay your rent either. (not to mention ebay charges 30 cents for each listing after 50 and nobody can list huge anyway till your rep goes up).
There are a few (and very few) who do good but it's rare.
If you want to play the game then here's some tips I've discovered.
1) Pick a niche. Don't sell everything under the sun. Loyalty is key. That way you get pegged as a 'favorite seller'. sell only hello kitty products or stuffed animals, or whatever.
2)Stay away from jewelry. Yeah, big profit in jewelry, but competion is fierce and yer going against established stores.
3)If an item is promising use the multiple option in buy it now.
4)BE sure you check off add sales tax when applicable in the advance settings (I got screwed on that)
5)Amazon Prime account isn't necessary but amazon fulfillment is. Just add the price of shipping to overall listing.
6)Go look at what others have sold (SOLD- NOT LISTED) and copy it, but stay in your niche.
7) Don't copy amazon's description without checking it first- they like to use the word "Amazon" in it. So many idiots do and they ain't selling anything.
8) And this is the most important part- Adcopy sells more than the product does. Price is only part of the equation. Learn html and set up your description right.
9) as usual, know yer niche words well. the title is all you got to stand apart from the crowd. Ex.- Ty beanies have several lines they offer- boos, ballz, etc
But I'm telling ya, it ain't going to buy you a new car doing this.
I myself like copywriting, so I plan to play the game cause it's fun practice. But good copy takes over an hour and there's no guarantee I'll sell the item more than once per listing.
