Where are the Mods in here???
Grrrrr....
Yep, title IS misleading and I'm agreeing with babloodabloo and CitizenKane... still I believe that first thing you should do on this or just on any forum (even if nobody will gonna read that) is going there:

http://bestblackhatforum.com/Forum-Introductions

As many great people did before they're starting making threads/posts, etc.
On other forums I often observe one simply rule - before making new threads one must write ten posts. That'll get us what babloodabloo and CitizenKane were writing about.
And sticky thread with RULES of UDEMY SECTION won't kill anybody... seriously there is one in this section:

(that yellow would kill my eyes though - I suggest another color - dark one highly preferred).
First of all...sorry about being a newbie...and I apologize for the [GET] header in the post...I did not intend to disrespect anyone who is here sharing the coupons and goodwill....

Also, I do add reps (points) whenever I have come across something (link/coupon) that I have used in the UDEMY website...so, please do not judge because you have just assumed me to be some leecher...

Once again, sorry for being on the wrong side of this conversation...and about the wrong header...can someone tell me how I can change the [GET] to a [REQ]

Thank you!
jizdream - it's not your fault that you didn't know rules. The fact that you're even apologizing for that is good enough for me and probably for everybody else.
Thank you for all reps you gave and interest in how to correct your thread.

How to (magically) change thread:
1. Find your first post in thread.
2. Right down-bottom in your first post in the thread is "EDIT" button.
3. Click it
4. Choose "FULL EDIT" (yeah! go medieval on that one :))
5. When it loads (some time it'll take - master Yoda once said) just edit that [GET] to [REQ]
6. Scroll a little bit and find "UPDATE POST"
7. Click it
8. Wait for loading and enjoy it.
9. Sleep peacefully ;)
I don't mean to be an arse, but this thread is just elitist crap.

I'm pretty sure everyone appreciates both the free coupons and those who share them, but does this mean contributors have the right to treat others like lesser beings? If you couldn't help you could have ignored the thread, or pointed out politely the process, or what they did wrong (most of this was addressed), instead of making the guy feel worthless. Just because someone isn't spamming every thread with "Thank You's" getting their post count up, it in no way means they are any less appreciative, or worth any less than someone who does, or who contributes (although others are bound to disagree).

I posted a code (admittedly not 100% off) in the middle of a thread which a regular then went on to make a whole thread for about a week later, possibly netting him rep or 'respect' over me. Should I have kicked up a stink about it, turned it into a massive drama and let it ruin my day? I probably could have, or I could have y'know, let it sit and just get on with the rest of my life because it just doesn't matter that much.

For a 'loving and sharing community', some people have horrible attitudes towards others, and seem to be more about the gratification/recognition than the sharing.

[/quote] Thank you, GlareGames, for the kind words and the step by step directions to change the post header. I did figure it out after looking around a bit and updated it after that. Nonetheless, thank you, for the kindness and magnanimous outlook.
jizdream - congrats and thanks for kind words - always happy to help :)
JageR - Nobody meant to make anybody worthless - From firas14 btw. went only love and understanding. And CitizenKane and babloodabloo just pointed out some mistakes cause yesterday we had maaany duplicated threads. Why it's so bad you ask? Cause when 500 users will post same coupon and only 1 user the new one you can imagine what will happen and I guarantee you won't have the nerve to go through all of them. As you see jizdream corrected mistake/typo and everything is alright.
It was earlier said about not 100% off.. codes.. well that's thing that probably everybody can find themselves. And again think in bigger scale - 500 users will post their 95% discounted coupons. That's great - now it'll just took soooo long for finding free ones. And some people can't/won't buy courses... for different reasons.
IT IS loving and sharing community (methinks) but some ground rules still obey. LOVE doesn't mean "Do what you want - I don't care" - cause that's (I believe) is indifference.
@GlareGames I wasn't disagreeing with you, and I apologise if it seemed that way, and I fully agree with with the duplicate threads being an issue. To make it clear, I don't have an issue if a 'select few' post codes and this avoids duplicates, but earlier it was implied that one should share before they ask (or 'buy' respect from others), which is completely logical, but leads to a few issues. Clearly the duplicate thread thing really limits just how many 'shares' can actually occur, and if I (or anyone else) is always 'beaten' to posting a code, does that mean I (or others) never have the right to ask? If I started posting duplicate threads that I was/wasn't aware of, I'd be sharing, but people would no doubt get annoyed quickly due to the reasons you outlined above.

I've only been here a couple of weeks, and things are definitely tidy and accessible, which I don't think anyone would say is a bad thing, but it also limits the resources (codes being shared/threads created) to a very limited few. When these resources are held by a small group, but are required in order to obtain other basic resources it is a problem. To put it into an example, it is like having 2% of the population with 90% of the wealth, and saying to request you need to invest 1% of the total wealth, which simply isn't an option for the 98%. By this logic, I should have 'held onto' the code, or disputed the further posting of it into it's own post, as it is a resource that could have given me access to other resources.

Eitherway, your feedback helped Jizdream correct his transgression, but there are definitely some odd attitudes around here, or perhaps, the lack of vocal qualities that simply aren't presentable on the internet has me reading the words as they are written, not necessarily what they mean. Eitherway, keep up the good work, and remember that even if people forget to post in your threads or +rep you, chances are they still appreciate the 'work' you put into obtaining and sharing the codes.

PS sorry for the essay.
@GlareGames @JageR Totally agree :)

wtf are you talking about? nobody asked anyone to share anything... there are lots of ways to contribute to the community beside giving out coupons... the point was that he didn't follow the rules and his FIRST post is a request... when you can clearly see that he already knows about this section for a while...

NO ONE is being rude to him or feels superior... and no one thought it was a big deal except for you and firas14...
you both dragged the conversation when it could have ended with the fair and polite feedback that was given to jizdream.

now before we start a new conversation... NO i'm not angry... i have nothing against you or ANYONE else...
i simply told jizdream to follow the rules and maybe create a few posts before asking for things... this was his FIRST post...

lets just stop here...
