This is a request for help from all of the great members here in our little BBHF family.
A dear friend of mine is going to be spending the next 2 years of his life walking 12,000 miles to raise money for a cancer research fund called the Everyman Appeal.
Everyman is an appeal of The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), it was launched in 1997 to raise funds for research into prostate and testicular cancers.
As the ICR's dedicated male cancer appeal, Everyman helps to fund a comprehensive program of research with a particular focus on understanding the genetics of the disease, developing new drugs for patients with advanced prostate cancer and improving radiotherapy techniques.
Millions of men have been diagnosed with a form of male-specific cancer and many more are yet to be discovered.
Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer with over 250,000 men in the US and 50,000 in the UK diagnosed with the disease each year.
So, as you can see this is a very important Appeal and this research is in great need of support.
There is a site in place for the project which will be updated during the journey with pictures, stories and videos.

What I am asking for with this thread is donations from all you guys (and girls if you are feeling generous) to help fund this project.
Please donate whatever you can afford, even if it's just a dollar. It all adds up and our combined help will enable this project to take place and the fund raising it will achieve will help discover new medicines and treatments for a disease that is plaguing the world and devastating lives.

You could also show their banner in your signatures just like I have in my signature. Every little helps, even if you think it may be too small a gesture!
